A vividly colored kingfisher is depicted in mid-flight, seemingly interacting with the scene of a water splash painted on a canvas. The illusion created is so lifelike that the bird appears to be part of the artwork, blurring the lines between reality and paint. Drops of water seem to fly off the canvas onto the easel and down onto the surface below, enhancing the three-dimensional effect.
